Dr. Carissa Sherwood, DMD

Dr.-Sherwood

Dr. Sherwood grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas. After graduating from Fayetteville High School she attended the University of Kansas where she enjoyed playing flute in the University of Kansas Wind Ensemble and KU Symphony Orchestra and loved watching Jayhawk basketball. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 2014.

While attending dental school at the University of Louisville, Dr. Sherwood was highly active in the American Student Dental Association as an officer and as president of her school’s chapter during her final year. While in Louisville she had the opportunity to travel to Jamaica to provide free dental care to local residents. She graduated Cum Laude in 2018 and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Sherwood worked in St. Louis, MO for three years as a general dentist. During this time she continued her education with courses in Invisalign and smile makeovers which fueled her passion for cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Sherwood’s favorite aspect of dentistry is giving patients a beautiful, healthy and confident smile! She enjoys getting to know her patients and building relationships to provide a comfortable environment.

She is a member of the American Dental Association, Arkansas State Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Clear Aligners, and Crown Council.

In 2020 Dr. Sherwood got married to her high school sweetheart! They enjoy traveling, backpacking, canoeing and hiking with their sweet Australian Shepherd. They are both huge Arkansas Razorback fans (WPS!) and are very excited to be home and living once again in beautiful Northwest Arkansas!

Dr. Gabriel Roye is a skilled and compassionate general dentist with advanced training in family, implant, and oral surgery dentistry. He is passionate about delivering whole-person, patient-focused care that builds trust, eases dental anxiety, and promotes lifelong oral health.

Originally from Kansas City, Dr. Roye earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Anthropology from the University of Arkansas—where he also met his wife, Elizabeth. He went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health, drawn to their rigorous clinical focus and strong emphasis on public service. During his education, he completed a fourth-year clinical externship, serving communities in Washington, Oregon, Missouri, and Texas. He also earned a Certificate in Public Health with a Dental Emphasis.

Dr. Roye’s passion for dentistry began during a mission trip to Nicaragua, where he witnessed the powerful impact dental care can have in underserved communities. At River Dental-Farmington, Dr. Roye is committed to helping patients achieve their smile goals while ensuring comfort every step of the way. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Spear Institute. He’s a proud Razorback fan (Woo Pig!), a foodie, and a lover of craft coffee and local brews. When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll likely find him mountain biking, fly fishing, rock climbing, or trail running in the Ozarks.
